Spiderman, Thomas the train, Cars and Diego
What do all these have in common, you ask??? These are all Jack's big boy underwear choices. PT has started. Potty Training. Just shoot me now. Why does this feel like I'm re-inventing the wheel? Doesn't anyone have a good, fool-proof method for potty training??? I mean, is it too much to ask that if you give a 2 1/2 yr old a pair of big boy pants and tell him in order to keep those pants dry he must go in the potty just like mommy and daddy, he'll say, "Sounds like a great idea, Mom, I'll go do that right now!" and Poof! it's done. I have given so many positive, affirming words to Jack today, I can't think straight...even telling him that Spiderman, Elmo and Barney will be SOOOO proud of him when he pees in the potty doesn't seem to be sinking into his soft and squishy little brain. I tried the Potty Training in Less than a Day method...maybe that's where I went wrong. But I'm a strong-willed mommy, and I'm not ready to throw out all the potties in the house just yet; we'll see how Stace and my mom do tomorrow while I'm at work....hee hee hee! Say a little prayer for them.

Funny, but prepare yourself, my friend. Once they are trained they may run to the bathroom to go, but it rarely hits the potty. I suggest keeping a mega roll of Clorox wipes next to the toilet!
Had a blast last night. It was much needed, but then we got home and sat with the neighbors around the fire pit til 2am. When the kids woke up at 7am, I hated being in a cul de sac!
Hey! Hang in there. Potty training sucks but changing diapers is worse. Potty training in a day worked for a friend of mine terrifically. Me . . . every kid was different. Think I finally gave up on the last one. Not sure if she is trained yet or not. Hope her kindergarten teacher doesn't mind. (Just kidding) Anyway, big boy pants are great. Those fabric lined plastic pants that go over big boy pants save the furniture and still accomplish the "I feel wet" feeling. Stay away from pull ups while training - only prolongs the agony, but are good for nights and when going out into public. Other than that . . .good on ya . . . stick to your guns!
How did we do? All I know is it was too bad I had to leave and go get your Dad and leave Stace with it all.Ha Ha You both are doing great! It just takes time! love Mom C
Sounds like you are in for an adventure with this one, no advise from me cause I won't experience this for a couple of years yet! Love ya,
Bobi
